The album is heavily inspired by the lyrics on the last track of Kanye's 2010 album (Who Will Survive in America). “American Stomach" refers to the heavy weight of violence, corruption, and politics in America.

American Stomach is an album tour mashup inspired by Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010) and King Krule's Space Heavy (2023).

The project references several dark themes from both albums, such as race, identity, egotism, escapism, grandiosity, and loneliness.
